We are delighted to offer our first ever Creative Writing Course at VOEWOOD with bestselling author Wendy Holden. In the stunning settings of this historic Arts & Crafts house set in eleven acres of inspirational grounds near Holt, Norfolk, you will be encouraged to unleash your creative inner self by biographer, novelist and historian Wendy Holden.

 

Whether you dream of writing a novel, a short story, a biography or just improving your writing generally, this exclusive course is for you as Wendy guides you on how to develop prose style.

 

The mornings will be focused around a series of exercises and writing prompts to improve your understanding of how to structure your writing and create believable characters, plots, scenes and dialogue.

 

During the afternoon workshops, students will be encouraged to share work in progress and take part in group sessions on ways in which to develop material further.

 

This course is suitable for beginners as well as those working on projects already started. By the end of the course you will leave equipped with the skills and techniques to help you refine your work, plus the support of your tutor and fellow students to encourage you on your writing journey.
